As Director of England for Macmillan Cancer Support, Fran leads a Directorate of over 100 people delivering service development and innovation, specifically with a focus on whole system redesign to deliver joined up, seamless pathways of care for cancer patients across England. Central to Fran’s role is effective relationship building, influencing and lobbying across a range of national stakeholders, including commissioners, Health and Wellbeing Boards, partner organisations (health, social care and the third sector) and politicians. To achieve this transformational change, she will also collaborate and co-create solutions with Macmillan colleagues in Fundraising, External Affairs, Policy and Public Affairs, Services and Volunteering. Macmillan is an ambitious charity with a clear vision, a strong brand and an exciting strategy. Fran will drive delivery solutions ensuring that the patient voice is at the heart of service redesign and will influence and effect a real step change in the way in which care is delivered to the growing number of people living with cancer.

Before embarking in her current role, Fran was the Director of Transformation and Cancer Programmes, at King’s Health Partners, London. She comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge as an expert in large-scale multi-organisational transformation incorporating the enhancement of quality clinical service delivery, integrating research and clinical practice, capital and information technology solutions, income diversification strategies and the delivery of patient centred care. Fran is an experienced healthcare and third sector senior Director with a clinical background. She has a doctorate in ‘Leading Inter-organisational Change’ from the Middlesex University in 2007 and an MBA from the Open University in 2001.
